Lux Pacifica in St Petersburg deferred until 2021

The date of the next Lux Pacifica will have to await the outcome of the COVID-19 virus effects. It is expected that it will still be held in St Petersburg in 2021. VNISI (The Russian Lighting Research Institute) and The Hermitage museum will kindly host the 9th Lux Pacifica.

Built along the banks of the Neva River, Russia’s second city is spectacularly beautiful, with immense palaces painted in pastel colors and a skyline punctuated by the glinting golden domes of Orthodox churches. Constructed on approximately 40 islands in the Neva estuary, it has a remarkable network of canals spanned by 342 major bridges. One of the world’s greatest museums, the State Hermitage Museum (or just “the Hermitage”), houses more than 3 million works of art and the Russian imperial regalia.

Specific details of the venue, the cost (USD$450), contact details and information about paper submissions can be found on this website: Lux Pacifica 2020

Please see the “News” pages for information about a special price for students and accompanying persons.
